The X-Caddis; developed by Craig Matthews of West Yellowstone, Montana in the early 1980’s, was designed to imitate the emergent stage of a caddis fly.
Tweaked to more closely mimic the UK caddis population (with smaller ‘shuck’, for example), this pattern offers high buoyancy and can be fished on its own or in a ‘double-X’ configuration; another great caddis pattern for targeting rising fish or searching waters both slow and fast.
